I'll try

Okay, Robin and Shannon...I've updated the blog! I was going to give up on it, but I've decided to give it another try. Because I haven't updated in 6 months, this is a mixed bag of pictures. Here is Harper on Halloween... Harper LOVES to cook and she likes to look the part. I very rarely get to cook on my own unless it's during naptime.

Harper, and her best friends, Eve and Mae are taking ballet together. They're really cute in their leotards, or as Eve calls them, littletards.
Harper's also taking gymnastics at a real gym this year. In the past, we've gone to a little gym with little equipment, but we're trying something new. The new place is the real deal with big equipment and the wonderful smell of feet. I'm not sure how good she is going to be, but who cares. She's having fun.

She wore the same dress for the first day of school as she did last year, which made it fun to compare the pictures.
Okay, we'll that's the last couple of months in a nutshell. Maybe I'll be able to say on top of things this time.

Update....Finally

Don't fall out of your seat, but there are finally some updated pictures on the blog. These are all pictures that have been taken by my parents this spring, but since I'm at their house right now it's what I had access too. I'll update pictures from Easter, etc when I get home.

This is Harper and G.G. (my maternal grandmother) kissing each other.

This is Harper and Boop (my paternal grandfather) feeding the birds at his house.

REAL SNOW

I just posted a few days ago about how Virginia hadn't seen real snow since we moved here. Well, we finally got some. Here is a picture from last night of Tucker and Harper riding a boogie board in our street. This is a picture of half of her snow outfit. I'm sure she felt uncomfortable. She had on footie pajamas, sweatpants over that, an old scarf of mine, her hat, and her snow boots. To finish the outfit off, we added her coat and a raincoat on top of that. She was still freezing if you can believe that.

Harper wasn't a fan of laying in the snow. Here is video of her attempt at a snow angel.

Cousins

Last week was a sad week. Chris' dad died on Sunday and we headed to Alabama to be with his family. While there were so many sad spots during the week, there were a few bright ones. Harper rarely gets to see her cousins, and while we missed Jack, the girls had a great time together. Harper had never taken a bath with anyone and now that we're home her baths are boring.

It was sweet to see the Harper, Margaret, and Campbell crawl up in Chris' lap to watch a movie. He was sitting in Papa's chair, so I guess they were accustomed cuddling there.

Snow in Virginia

I thought that when we moved to Virginia we would see REAL snow. So far, we've lived through 3 winters with hardly any snow. This year the snow has dusted the ground twice and we've had to run out in our pajamas before it stops. I can't believe that these are the only snow pictures we have this year.

Christmas

Christmas week was really fun. Chris had to work this year, so we weren't able to travel to Alabama, but my parents and brother were able to join us. We ventured to the mall to shop a couple of times, but Harper isn't much for shopping and she talked her granddaddy into letting her ride the train. I think every time we go to the mall now I'll be hearing "Choo Choo Ticket, Choo Choo Ticket."
This is Harper running down the hall to see what Santa brought her. Doesn't she look excited? It was so fun to see the excitement this year.

She got a kitchen this year, so she's been cooking for us a lot. I only wish the thing could make real food!

Harper jammin' with her new CD player. It came with a strap, which Mom and I thought should just be left off, but Dad thought she needed it. She's been wearing it around her neck ever since. She's working on being the coolest kid on the block:) I think her favorite present was the tea set that NeeNee and Papa gave her. I cannot even begin to tell you how many tea parties we've had. Good think it came with a case because we've had to take it with us a few places.

Harper's Birthday

Harper's birthday was pretty low key. She had her party two weeks early and Chris had to work on her birthday. The exciting part is that my mom flew in that day for Christmas so she got do help us celebrate. As you can see, Harper got a tricycle and a doll bed. She was very pleased.
