Christmas

Christmas week was really fun. Chris had to work this year, so we weren't able to travel to Alabama, but my parents and brother were able to join us. We ventured to the mall to shop a couple of times, but Harper isn't much for shopping and she talked her granddaddy into letting her ride the train. I think every time we go to the mall now I'll be hearing "Choo Choo Ticket, Choo Choo Ticket."
This is Harper running down the hall to see what Santa brought her. Doesn't she look excited? It was so fun to see the excitement this year.

She got a kitchen this year, so she's been cooking for us a lot. I only wish the thing could make real food!

Harper jammin' with her new CD player. It came with a strap, which Mom and I thought should just be left off, but Dad thought she needed it. She's been wearing it around her neck ever since. She's working on being the coolest kid on the block:) I think her favorite present was the tea set that NeeNee and Papa gave her. I cannot even begin to tell you how many tea parties we've had. Good think it came with a case because we've had to take it with us a few places.

Harper's Birthday

Harper's birthday was pretty low key. She had her party two weeks early and Chris had to work on her birthday. The exciting part is that my mom flew in that day for Christmas so she got do help us celebrate. As you can see, Harper got a tricycle and a doll bed. She was very pleased.

Harper's Birthday Party

Harper had a "tutu" birthday party this year. Somehow I didn't end up with any cute pictures, but a couple of you have asked to see them, so here they are. Harper dressed up in her tutu had had lots of fun dancing around.Mom made these really cute tutus to hang from the chandelier. She's much craftier than I am.The girls decorated a ballerina drawing. Harper shoved her cake in her mouth like it was her first birthday. She doesn't always eat like this, but she must have been showing off her good manners:)

Halloween

Halloween is so fun when you have kids. I didn't think that we could match the amount of fun we had last year, but this year was just as much fun. Harper was a little scared of her trick or treat bag because it was a spider, but once we convinced her people would put candy in it she decided she could get over her fear.

The Green Thumb

This is embarrassing to say, but I hardly know how to plant flowers. Harper on the other hand is trying to learn how to garden from her grandmothers. If she's going to learn it will have to be from them, not me!

Daddy's Call Room

Almost every Sunday, Harper and I take Chris dinner at work and visit with him in his call room. Harper LOVES sitting at the desk and "working" so we're thinking of getting her a desk job.
